Description

This delightful recipe transforms fresh strawberries into adorable chocolate-covered carrot treats, perfect for Easter or springtime celebrations. By coating strawberries in vibrant orange melting chocolate and adding drizzled chocolate details, these snacks mimic the look of carrots while delivering a deliciously sweet flavor. They are easy to make in just 20 minutes and serve 12 people.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh strawberries, washed and dried thoroughly
  • 2 cups orange chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly and pat them completely dry to ensure the chocolate sticks well. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to place the dipped strawberries later.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Place the orange chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Dip Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by its leaves and dip it into the melted orange chocolate. Rotate the strawberry to evenly cover the entire red fruit surface with chocolate.
  4. Set on Baking Sheet: Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on the prepared baking sheet to allow the coating to set.
  5. Add Carrot Texture: Transfer the remaining melted chocolate into a piping bag or a ziplock bag with a small snipped corner. Drizzle it over the coated strawberries to mimic the natural ridges and texture of real carrots.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to avoid chocolate from seizing.
  • If you don’t have orange melting wafers, you can use white chocolate chips with orange food coloring.
  • Work quickly when dipping as the chocolate can harden fast.
  • Store these treats in a cool place, ideally in the refrigerator, to keep chocolate firm.
  • For an extra festive touch, add green candy leaves or use green-tinted white chocolate to dip the strawberry leaves.
